  • Q - WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY RESERVATIONS?
    A - Reservations may be cancelled up to 14 days prior to a departure date with the ticket holder receiving a one time credit good toward a future Chicago-land Express bus trip of the same type purchased (one-way or round trip). Round trip ticket credits may not be split for use as 2 one-way rides. Cancellation credits must be used by the end of the school year in which they were issued and are non-transferable or redeemable for cash. All ride credits remaining unredeemed by the end of the school year in which they were issued will be considered void and forfeited. Tickets are not transferable between customers for security purposes.

  • Q - WHAT IS THE CHICAGO-LAND TRIP CANCELLATION POLICY?
    A - A trip may be cancelled due to lack of riders. If the Express Service Trip is cancelled due to lack of riders, notification will be made 2 days prior to a cancellation.

  • Q - DO I HAVE TO PURCHASE A ROUND TRIP TICKET?
    A - One way tickets and round trip tickets are available.

  • Q - WHAT TIME DO I HAVE TO ARRIVE AT PICK-UP LOCATION?
    A - Please allow a 15 minute window on either side of the departure or arrival times for your location. It is best to arrive at least 20 minutes prior to departure. This way you can be checked in, your luggage loaded and you will be able to choose your seat. The bus will leave promptly at the departure time and will be unable to wait for late arrivals.

  • Q - WHERE IS THE PICK UP AND DROP OFF AT INDIANA UNIVERSITY?
    A - Either at McNutt Dormitory in the circle drive in front of Fee Lane or the Indiana Memorial Union off of 7th St.

  • Q - WHERE IS THE PICK UP AND DROP OFF IN SCHAUMBURG?
    A - Woodfield Mall across the street from Sears/Sears Auto Center - Parking Lot G

  • Q - WHERE IS THE PICK UP AND DROP OFF IN OAKBROOK?
    A - Oakbrook Center at the bus terminal across from Macy's.

  • Q - WHERE IS THE PICK UP AND DROP OFF IN MERRILLVILLE?
    A - Merrillville McDonalds (61st at I65 exit).

  • Q - IS THE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION AVAILABLE?
    A - Yes. There is the PACE bus. They can be contacted at 847-364-7223 or at tripsweb.rtachicago.com

  • Q - HOW LONG WILL THE TRIP TAKE?
    A - The express trip takes approximately 3 ½ hours to 6 hours depending where you load the bus. Traffic, weather, road construction and mechanical failure can effect travel time.

  • Q - WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED TO USE THE RESTROOM?
    A - There is a restroom on the bus.

  • Q - HOW MUCH LUGGAGE CAN I BRING?
    A - ONE SUITCASE not exceeding 24' X 16' X 10' to fit underneath the bus. One carry-on piece that will fit in the overhead compartments inside the bus and a backpack.

  • Q - CAN I DRINK ALCOHOL OR SMOKE ON THE BUS?
    A - Absolutely not! There is a zero tolerance rule - if you are caught drinking or smoking - the authorities will be notified.

  • Q - WILL MY INFORMATION BE GIVEN TO OTHER COMPANIES?
    A - All information you submit will remain private and secure.

  • Q - WILL THE BUS WAIT AT DROP OFF LOCATION FOR PASSENGERS TO BE PICKED-UP?
    A - The passenger should contact a responsible party and give an estimate time of arrival. We will not be able to wait for passengers to be picked-up at drop off location.

  • Q - IS CHICAGO-LAND SHUTTLE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LUGGAGE THAT IS LEFT ON THE BUS?
    A - If something is forgotten on the bus, please contact us as soon as possible. We will contact the bus driver to try to retrieve the lost luggage. We not responsible if the luggage does return to you in a timely manner.

  • Q - CAN I TRAVEL WITH MY PET ON THE BUS?
    A - No. While we love animals some passengers may be allergic or have other issues with live animals in the passenger area, our luggage bays cannot safely house an animal. Of course service animals for impaired passengers are always welcome.
